Dear Valued Partner,
As we end our week here at Design Distributors, I wanted to reach out to you with an update of Design Distributors' continued response to the COVID-19 situation. We are continuing to closely monitor the status of the COVID-19 situation through a variety of channels. Our focus continues to be both the health and welfare of our employees, as well as the ability to continue providing you the important services that Design Distributors produces for your organization. As such, we have been working diligently and taken steps in both areas.
On March 21st, Design Distributors, pursuant to the revised New York State Executive Order 202.6 received official designation as an essential business as it relates to the current COVID 19 crisis. With this designation, we are not subject to the required 100% workforce reduction imposed by New York State. However, due to our concerns for the welfare of our employees, we have continued to pursue moving as many of our people to securely working remotely as possible. In some cases, where presence is needed on premises, we have instituted alternating work day schedules.
Attendance on the floor has varied for obvious reasons, however we are well staffed in these areas and all departments are up and running. Printing and mailing schedules continue to be met.
Our production and staffing meetings are still held each day, although in a video conference environment. Our ability to maintain quick response to our clients has not been diminished.
We are all experiencing an unprecedented time impacting our personal and professional lives. I am extremely thankful for our DDI family who have been working "above and beyond the call" to help us address a multitude of unique and unprecedented issues. I am also extremely grateful to you for your continued support.
